Naomi is an artist and designer based in Paris. Having spent a decade leading product design at Google, WhatsApp, and top agencies, she has shifted her focus toward painting and drawing while taking on a limited number of freelance projects.

Inspired by Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, I am working on a series titled Thirty-Six Views from the Seine. Each oil painting begins en plein air near one of Paris’s many iconic bridges. Beyond the work, this series has been a wonderful way to discover the city and to connect with the community along the way.

Many expect grief to fade after the first year of milestones: the first holidays, the first birthdays. Instead, I’ve found we carry it with us.

Inspired by a quiet, snow-covered winter visit to my dad’s grave, this piece explores the crushing weight of loss and the surprising warmth that can exist within it. It is a meditation on grief as an enduring act of love, where memories can become a space to hold us.
