Guests of the Aquarium of the Pacific can interact with Odyssey to learn about the increasing rate of marine defaunation. By moving the "totem" on an interactive table, the story of various marine life is played, activating different hotspots along a predetermined timeline. Through this experience, guests develop a sense of hope for the future of marine life and can learn ways in which they can make a positive impact on the environment.

On the table top, large hotspots represent different moments in time for marine life and display the reported population data while smaller satellite hotspots provide supplemental information. The vertical surface displays the various stories of the selected marine life, smaller digestible facts, a population graph, and explains the connection of human innovation with marine life population status.
